A human’s armpit is a very sensitive area, so they also need careful and cautious care.

In this article, we will share 4 tips with you to help you have beautiful and well-groomed armpits, stay tuned.

Maybe waxing is right for you

armpit peeling

The classic waxing is in fact the most thorough and also the most hygienic method to get rid of annoying hair even under the armpits. The risks of shaving are largely eliminated here and the result lasts much longer – namely around three weeks.

It is possible to use the waxing strips by yourself, or to be on the safe side, you can entrust yourself to a beauty salon. Mild, soothing skin care creams are effective against possible redness directly after the treatment.

Try a peeling

Do you already use a peeling for your face? Then try it on your armpits as well. It has a similar effect, the microgranules of the creams remove dead skin flakes. This leaves the armpits looking even silkier and more well-groomed, and any unwanted odors will also be a thing of the past. Moreover, most peeling products contain nourishing and moisturizing ingredients which further protect and nourish the sensitive armpit region.

To shave or not to shave

Of course, hair is the first no-go for well-groomed armpits – so bring on the wet razor. Important, however, is the way you do it. Before you shave, you should definitely take a shower or, even better, a bath to soften the skin and hair.

A nourishing bath foam or shower gel supports this effect. Furthermore, be sure to use shaving foam or a gel so that the razor can glide well. The head of the blade should be flexible, a version with several blades is gentler and more thorough than a mono-blade.

Shave very gently and carefully first from top to bottom and then a few more times across. Actually, this should ensure smooth underarms in any case, but there are also two catches: first, the result remains really silky and smooth only for about three days. Second, even a careful shave can in some cases lead to irritation or small injuries, which then in turn become noticeable as redness or small pimples. That is why it is worth thinking about an alternative.

What helps against discoloration

For some people, discoloration occurs under the armpits – they turn out a little darker than their own skin tone. In the majority of cases, these are slight pigmentation disorders, and there are basically two solutions: The first is special lightening creams, but these can be expensive and cause irritation, in other words redness or even small pimples, in sensitive skin types.

There is also an old home remedy: simply rub a slice of lemon on the skin, the juice has a mild lightening effect. Afterwards, wash off the armpits and apply a nourishing cream. You should see visible results after just a few applications.
