This Netflix hit Squid Game makes us suffer through six deadly games along with the characters. So which Squid Game deadly games have the highest chance of survival and which are the most deadly? The South Korean thriller series Squid Game has 456 debt-ridden and desperate people taking part in a series of death games to be able to live a better life than their previous one with a possible prize money of 45.6 billion won. But a total of six deadly children’s games must first be mastered.

These games in Squid Game are a real highlight. It is not only that we feel sympathy for the characters and fear for their lives, we also keep asking ourselves the question: What would I do in their place now? How would I do in this game?

We have looked more closely at the six death games and ranked them for you according to their deadliness – ranging from the game with the highest survival rate to the game with the highest death rate. Would you survive any of the games?

The Squid Game

The Squid Game

This grand finale of the Squid Game deadly games is a brutal version of the children’s game known in South Korea. In this game, one player must stop the other from reaching a target marker. By the end, there are only two participants with relatively equal chances. The survival chance is quite high, at 50 per cent.

Tug of War

Just like the squid game, the tug-of-war (game no. 3) in Squid Game also has a death rate of 50 percent. Altogether, eight teams with 10 participants each compete against each other. The big worry that only the strongest can win here can be disproved by the series and shows us that a clever strategy can also help to win.

Dalgona Figures

As tasty as the sweet slices of dalgona dough (a mixture of sugar and baking powder) look: it is best not to eat them. This is because the aim is to separate selected shapes from the dough without the shape breaking. Should this happen, you will be executed immediately.

In this game, the survival rate is 58 percent. Nevertheless, different players have different chances of survival. That is because the four forms to be selected in advance bring with them different levels of difficulty. This can be put into perspective by Gi-hun’s ingenious licking trick.

Red Light, Green Light

Squid Game’s first game surely has the highest death count of all. The main reason for this is that no one knows the rules and deadly consequences of elimination in advance. 456 people have to cover a distance of about 100 meters. However, they are only allowed to walk while a giant robotic mannequin shouts “Red light, green light.”

At this game, the chances of surviving are quite high – provided you don’t trip, get pushed or have shaky knees. Here it’s not luck that matters, but your own body control. Tips to survive this game more easily: Run behind another player at all times. You can also run directly to one of the side walls, where you can quickly steady your body by bracing yourself.

Marbles

It is difficult to predict the probability of surviving the fourth round of the game. This is because teams of two are permitted to choose which rules they play by. Every person has 10 marbles that can be gambled away. The person who has 20 marbles at the end of 30 minutes wins.

If neither person wins by the end of the time, both members of the team are killed immediately. Just 43.6 of the participants survive this game. This is not a game of physical prowess. Rather, the winner is the one who is lucky or has the greatest talent for manipulation – or the one who hasn’t found a game partner.

The Bridge of Glass

In case you made it to the penultimate game, you should now especially fear for your life. The bridge made of glass is not only the deadliest game of all, but also the one with the lowest chance of survival if you select the wrong starting position beforehand.

You must cross a glass bridge at a lofty height, presenting you with a 50% chance of certain death meter by meter. In order to move forward, you must step on one of two glass panels. One is made of safety glass, and the other is made of conventional glass that shatters directly.

If you have chosen position 1 here, you can actually jump directly to your death voluntarily. This is because the probability of player 1 being able to cross the entire bridge is 1 in over 260,000, which makes surviving the glass bridge a pure game of chance.
