5 Best Games You Can Play With Low-End Laptops and PCs

Do you want to play something but don't have a suitable device for it? Well, here are good games with low requirements!

They can be played on any device – even on an older laptop with integrated graphics. You may not be able to run Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing on it… Anyway, there are plenty of exciting games with low requirements. Let’s define what we mean by a “weak laptop”. For some, it can be models equipped with weaker dedicated graphics models such as GeForce GTX 1050 or have more powerful integrated models such as Intel Iris Xe (especially the 96U version) and Radeon Vega (Ryzen 4xxx and 5xxx series processors) onboard, which are additionally combined with fast RAM.

Some of the high performance integrated graphics or low power dedicated graphics are also compelling, especially when combined with technologies like FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), which enables you to scale your games for higher performance without sacrificing visual quality.

Best versions of integrated graphics (or weaker versions of dedicated graphics) alongside with FSR can confidently handle games that boast this technology, which include Riftbreaker, Call Of Duty: Vanguard, Far Cry 6, Horizon Zero Dawn, Hellblade:Senua’s Sacrifice, Resident Evil Village, or finally God Of War (of course, expect a reduction in quality settings – no miracles here). FSR will probably evolve to RSR (Radeon Super Resolution) very soon and will be enabled at the driver level in most games.

FidelityFX Super Resolution

NVIDIA has made a similar move with enabling NIS (NVidia Image Scaling) in their drivers. We purposely didn’t mention DLSS here because it’s hard to call GeForce RTX laptops (that support DLSS) “weak”.

Older doesn’t mean worse – here are our five best games for weak laptops. We have tested all the games listed below on a laptop with integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics and RAM in a single-channel configuration. While not all of them work perfectly, they are playable. We can not guarantee that they will work correctly on older and less powerful graphics chipsets.

Persona 4 Golden

JRPG fans can’t pass indifferently through Persona. Suppose you have not yet had the opportunity to play this production on Playstation Vita. In that case, it is certainly worth it on PC. The game will provide us with long evenings, unique gameplay and surprising twists. Do NOT worry about the number of frames per second during the battle – it is played in the turn-based system.

Human Fall Flat

Human Fall Flat is a heavily physics-based puzzle and arcade game. We have an opportunity to play both alone and with several people – both in local co-op (split-screen) and online.

Blood War: The Witcher Stories

This is an RPG combined with a card game (the battles take place with the help of a thread game), which was based in the Witcher universe. The attention is drawn to the mature plot with various endings and the possibility of learning the story of the attack of Nilfgaard on the kingdoms of the North of Meve – Queen of Lyria and Rivia. Sadly, the game didn’t sell well enough to warrant the development of further parts…

Pillars of Eternity

While Obsidian’s classic fantasy role-playing game doesn’t run perfectly smoothly, high frame rates aren’t necessary for a game of this type either. Have you enjoyed it? Do not forget to check out the two expansion packs, called The White March.

Dark Souls II

A game set in the world of dark fantasy for true conquerors – this title offers no exceptions and is a real challenge. Indeed, it is possible to count on both the fast-paced basic version and the extended version of Scholar Of The First Sin. Dark Souls 3 and Dark Souls Remastered requirements have already proven to be too high for this configuration.

There are, of course, plenty of great games that also work on weak laptops, but for now, we recommend taking a look at our five best games. Which are your suggestions? Let us know in the comments section below.
