More popularly called meteorism, flatulence is a very unpleasant thing for everyone. It makes us feel like a deflated balloon, sometimes with added pain and cramps. At times the pain is very unpleasant. It shoots up to the chest so that many cases end up in the emergency room and urgent care with a suspicion of a heart attack. Changing your diet can help. Here are some tasty recipes to fight against flatulence.
So what to cut out?
If you tend to have bloating, it is better to eat small portions of good quality fresh foods six times a day, which the body can digest and use more easily. Eating a large amount once a day, plus hurriedly devouring large bites, is wrong. Tomatoes, cucumbers, beet, potatoes, grapefruit, apples, lean meat, low-fat cheese, sour dairy products, dark bread, rice and spices such as dill, basil, chives, bay leaf, thyme are suitable.
Not recommended are legumes, nuts, cabbage, onions, garlic, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, grapes, plums, pears, apricots… Not recommended to eat fresh, mainly white bread, yeast dumplings and cakes, excessively salty and spicy foods, aged cheese, sausages, pies, instant powders, fruit juices, carbonated drinks. So, what to prepare? Well, here are three lovely recipes.
Pasta salad with arugula
What you need:
- 300 g pasta – penne or how you like it
- Small eggplant
- 4-5 mushrooms
- 8 cherry tomatoes
- Arugula or basil, etc.
- Lemon or lime juice
- Sea salt
- Olive oil
- Shavings of parmesan cheese for decoration
Preparation: Slice eggplant, cut mushrooms into slices, and tomatoes into halves. Salt the eggplants and sweat for 20 minutes, and then pat dry. Sauté sliced chicken breast in olive oil in a skillet until golden brown, then transfer to a bowl. Fry the eggplant and mushrooms in the same oil. Finally, add the tomatoes.
Allow everything to simmer for a while, and then add to the bowl with the meat. Prepare the pasta according to the instructions and mix it in the bowl with the other ingredients. Sprinkle with parmesan shavings and garnish with fresh herbs.
Celery smoothie
What we need:
- 1 stick of celery
- A handful of baby spinach
- A handful of chervil
- 1/2 green apple
- 1/4 peeled cucumber
- Cup of water
- Some lime juice
Preparation: Peel and dice the celery, Wash the herbs and spinach, peel the apple and cucumber and dice them. Mix all the ingredients. Garnish with a sprig of dill or other herbs.
Note: You can also add a handful of goji to the ingredients to vary the flavor.
Chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes
What we need:
- Chicken breasts
- Mozzarella
- Sun-dried tomatoes
- A handful of fresh, chopped basil
- Olive oil
- Basil pesto
Preparation: Season the chicken breasts with salt and cut them so that they are not cut all the way through, placing a piece of mozzarella, one slice of sun-dried tomato and basil in each pocket. Put in a baking dish and drizzle generously with olive oil.
Roast for about 25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Take out, brush with pesto and garnish with remaining basil leaves. Serve with boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes.
