There are a lot of similar games on the market. Still, in comparison with the competition, The Witcher – Monster Slayer offers a slightly more challenging gameplay. Enemies won’t scare you; you will have to think a bit and choose the right equipment.
Gamers will be pleased with the detailed bestiary with more than a hundred monsters. You will be able to study them in detail and choose the best strategy for the fight. Also, a basic RPG skill tree is available, which, of course, affects the gameplay itself. The cliche will subside with time, but it’s good entertainment that is free and ad-free until then. Even though there were some concessions, this title is not very different from its big brother. In its large open world, you’ll explore, farm, craft and conquer. Albion hides hundreds of main and side quests that will provide dozens of hours of high-quality entertainment. As we already mentioned in our review earlier this year, the players themselves design the ideal world in this game. In this respect, Controlled Economy takes on particular importance. Player to player, you might say.
Not to forget the cross-platform play and the possibility of logging in with one mobile and PC account. Albion Online will save you a lot of time. If you aren’t serious about partying, then you shouldn’t venture into this world. Then again, in the upcoming winter season, we will surely see a lot of long evenings that will be perfect for a similar MMO expedition.

X-COM 2 Collection

This collection contains XCOM 2: War of the Chosen, including four DLC add-ons (Resistance Warrior Pack, Anarchy’s Children, Alien Hunters, and Shen’s Last Gift). An important note is the small number of supported devices, so check the App Store before buying. You can then look forward to hours of turn-based combat against the nastiest aliens. Just like we’re used to from the classic XCOM.

The Pathless

Creators of the artistic game Abzu have ventured into a slightly more action-packed but just as artistic game, called The Pathless. It has made us happy on the PS5, but it also found its way to Apple Arcade, which performs brilliantly thanks to its brilliantly simple controls and gameplay. Everything you need is a minimum of fingers and, most importantly, quick reactions to race through the beautifully stylized world and shoot arrows in all directions.
The game will make us search for the right path. While some will prefer freedom, our villain Godslayer wants to determine the path for everyone. There are several game elements in The Pathless. Most important is archery – the character has an energy pointer that allows him to hit the targets scattered around the world precisely. If you hit, the game will speed up for a moment, and the character will replenish the pointer. Her most crucial helper is the eagle, who is the reincarnation of an ancient god. With its help, you will solve most of the puzzles along the way.
What makes Pathless stand out is its distinctive graphics, which might remind you of some successful indie games. The gorgeous world created by simple graphics will take you to mysterious red storms, mountain ranges covered in snow and beautiful green plains.
The game’s soundtrack is also not to be sneezed at because it exudes the atmosphere of the Asian style in which the whole game is set. The music dynamically changes as you move through the world. For example, when a storm is approaching, you can feel it not only visually but with your hearing as well.

Marvel Future Revolution

Oh, well, who doesn’t love them, the superheroes…? The much-awaited Marvel Future Revolution is the brainchild of developer Netmarble. It is a typical free-to-play role-playing game with dozens of hours of action-packed fun.
We have to especially praise the amount of content, eight playable heroes (Black Widow, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Star-Lord and Storm), incredible graphics, the balanced gameplay and the emphasis on the cinematic storyline. Those who are fans of more complex gameplay will enjoy the extensive RPG elements and the high level of customization.
But there are two sides to the coin here as well. The high demands on mobile devices make up for the high-quality graphical presentation. Occasional technical shortcomings also mar gameplay. Since this is a free-to-play title without advertising, it’s understandable that the developers are pushing for in-game purchases. The choice, however, is yours. On the whole, it is a well-done game full of high-quality cinematic entertainment. In the world of mobile games, this is one of the most interesting pieces of recent times.

League of Legends – Wild Rift

We cannot miss one of the best MOBA titles that you can play on a mobile device in our selection. League Of Legends – wild rift responsibly takes the original material. It presents the player with a polished game that, at first sight, doesn’t look too different from the great original. In fact, the game core has remained the same, with even the gameplay feeling familiar.
However, the game interface had to be fundamentally redesigned, and developers adapted it to the needs of mobile gamers. However, being very accommodating, they managed to find a compromise by making concessions and optimizations. Gameplay has undergone understandable changes, affecting mainly the pace and dynamics. While maintaining the original gameplay, the players get full-bodied but more dynamic action, mainly due to the map size reduction. This results in more agile gameplay without unnecessary ballast. Thus, the individual games will take you less than twenty minutes to complete.
Understandably, this is one of the best MOBA games for cell phones. It has the familiar atmosphere and excellent gameplay of its big brother League of Legends. The essentials have been kept, while the rest has been adapted for mobile devices. Great work, congratulations.

There has been a murder aboard the SS Hook on its way from New York. And yes, you’re the killer. You only have eight hours to get out of this situation, and a hectic chase begins. This game is essentially a cartoon novella in that the world and everyone in it behave independently of each other. Every character remembers what they have seen and heard. As the minutes pass, you must decide where to go, who to outwit, rob, cheat, as well as what to lie to, make excuses for, or run away from.
The cartoon style emphasizes the novel’s atmosphere, while the game relies heavily on dialogs and logical thinking. It would be best if you used all situations and environments to your advantage to escape from responsibility and capture. Each step you take can be your last, as well as all your actions can have consequences.

NieR Reincarnation

This gloomy and dark world will grab you and not let go.
The entire story is filled with fog, darkness and ambiguity. Just who are we, and where are we going? A mysterious stone labyrinth will provide the answer. Also, the game features beautiful graphics and emotional soundtrack.
Sadly, the weak point is the poor gameplay, which is restricted to traversing the game world and automatic battles. Those looking for action-packed and dynamic entertainment should look elsewhere. But if you are interested in gripping and intense stories with added value, Nier Reincarnation is a good choice.

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!

There is no slouch in the game, and Crash’s quick feet guarantee high-energy fun. However, CB: On The Run! is a nice change of pace from a genre standpoint. You get caught in an endless merry-go-round of running, jumping, crawling, and dodging in the game. This is a typical endless run title without a specific objective. You will train your observation skills, keep your eyes fluttering and test your patience. There is also a story and boss fights in this case (it’s a pity that they are more for effect).
As for endless races, it’s solid stuff with appealing graphics, but if the genre doesn’t sound familiar, you will soon be confronted with the cliché. The Crash Bandicoot seems like a good choice for casual, undemanding play.

The Walking Dead: Survivors

While zombie action isn’t quite in anymore, its one time glory still resonates with us, particularly when it comes to its association with a legendary brand. The Walking Dead: survivors may not be the best interpretation of the cult series, but it does offer a decent amount of “rotting” fun.
This title presents a survival strategy from a bird’s eye view, which combines buildings with typical tower defense elements. Even though this combination doesn’t seem all that interesting, the game does offer a lot of fun and varied mechanics that enhance the gameplay. Multiplayer mode is especially appealing, although its potential is not fully exploited.
You can look forward to seeing many familiar characters (Rick, Glenn and Dwight, for example), but do not expect more profound story expansions or a more complicated plot. It is a classic survival strategy in a familiar world.
You are responsible for setting up a camp for survivors, and there are hundreds of tasks waiting for you that the game fires at you with the cadence of a rotating machine gun. Gathering resources (food and wood), expanding buildings, recruiting fighters and exploring the environment is essential. Do not expect a complex and complicated game, as simple but fully satisfying entertainment to pass the time.

F1 Mobile Racing

We do not forget about the racers either. The year 2021 wasn’t exactly a generous one, missing big brands like Project Cars and Forza. Still, Motorsport Queen’s simulator F1 Mobile Racing doesn’t disappoint.
Codemasters’ handheld version is surprisingly comprehensive and features all the essential elements that made the F1 game series famous. However, understandably, some concessions had to be made. Like playing with last season’s license, not the current one.
You build your own monocoque and color it in the game, and then you jump into single-player or duel races with random players. For individual achievements, you get skill points, which can be exchanged for various trinkets. Upgrade points are the main reward, with which you can upgrade your steering, brakes, engine, aerodynamics, handling, etc.
Both the driving model and the decent optimization deserve praise. This F1 series may not be the most desirable, but it is one of the most interesting in this year’s weak racing. Suppose you can overlook last year’s license, occasional ads, or the mediocre graphics. In that case, you should definitely check out these great races.

Huntdown

Old school retro-pics in the style of Contra are the perfect games for a short break. Such is the case with the platformer Huntdown, which already appeared on PC and consoles this year, and now it’s available on mobile.
In pixel art style, you wander the streets in the skin of bounty hunters, attempting to rid the city of all sorts of vermin from the underworld. All three bounty hunters (Anna Conda, John Sawyer and Mow Man) have his arsenal and abilities. Frenetic gameplay is complemented by brutality and the proverbial difficulty level, in which you’ll have to fight your way through a variety of weapons and vehicles.
Of course, there is a special retro graphical coat but there is also a real old-school feel with all sorts of sayings that we know from the B-movies of the eighties. A part of the game is available for free from the start; after purchasing the full version, you’ll be able to enjoy twenty supercharged levels full of chaos.

The Hot Wheels Infinite Loop is synonymous with fast-paced multiplayer driving, great gameplay, and a presentable audiovisual design. Moreover, its developers have cleverly thought of the brand’s great tradition and combined the gameplay with a focus on collectors. Unfortunately, this is coupled with annoying microtransactions on the other hand, but you can successfully ignore them.
