Skull & Bones is in development for some time now. With rumors of an early release surfacing, the much-anticipated title has now been rated by the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB).
This title, which is scheduled for release before March 2023 according to Ubisoft, is not for children. In the regions covered by the ESRB, Skull & Bones has been given an M rating for “Mature,” meaning it is considered a game for adults over the age of 17. Naturally, there is a justification for the rating.
The ESRB says the pirate title contains “blood, strong language, explicit themes, use of drugs, and violence.” The rating page has a summary of all the bloody scenes, swear words, and all the other elements that push the game off the course of being family-friendly.
However, that’s not all that can be taken from the rating, because the title is said to include in-game purchases. More will be revealed next month, because this is where Ubisoft might reveal the release date, among other things, according to a recent report.
