Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Delayed to April or March 2023

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is going to experience a delay - and a sizable one at that. Another Ubisoft game, originally scheduled for release in 2022, is also expected to share a similar fate.

We bring bad news for all those who are looking forward to the release of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora from Ubisoft Massive studio.

As reported today in the French company’s financial report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2022/23, that title is set to get a delay and will be released in fiscal year 2023/24 that is, between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024.

The reasons for the postponement are not known. The whole matter is made more confusing by the fact that, according to popular industry insider Tom Henderson, Ubisoft was said to have assured retailers just a few weeks ago that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is scheduled for release on November 18, 2022. The journalist finds this information surprising.

It is interesting to note that Avatar’s fate is shared by another “smaller” “premium” production, scheduled for release in the fiscal year 2022/23.

However, we can only guess at its title, as it has not been officially announced yet. It seems rather likely that it could be about a stealth-oriented spin-off of the Assassin’s Creed series – likely subtitled Rift – which, as per recent rumors, is to take us to Baghdad.

A few days ago we wrote an article about why we think that it would be a good idea to delay the Avatar: Frontier of Pandora! We just wish we could have asked for something else from the gaming world!
