Bug in Diablo: Immortal Causes Gamers To Lose Millions of Experience Points

Things go from bad to worse for users of the mobile game.

Diablo Immortal 1

Ever since it was announced, Diablo: Immortal has been regarded as a lousy idea for the community and, while some people have wanted to look at the situation with an open mind, the truth is that they were right.

What’s going on is that, besides having gross microtransactions, now a bug is making players lose millions in experience points.

From the beginning of July, according to PCGamesN, several players complained that they were not receiving the experience rewards they deserved for progressing in Diablo: Immortal’s Battle Pass. This led to a total loss of millions in experience points for the community.

The Diablo: Immortal community gathered on reddit to complain about this situation and talk about what happened. In various statements we can see the story of players who struggled to complete challenges, but the promised rewards in the form of experience never came.

“I lost more experience this week. 3 million last week and 2 million this week,” said one of those affected.

“I completed missions and finished a Battle Pass rank. The experience animation appeared, but the animation bar didn’t increase at all,” recounted another user.

Blizzard Claims To Have Fixed the Problem, Others Still Have Problems

The good news is that Blizzard is now aware of the problem. The company explained last July 24 that it released an update to fix this situation. They also said that they would be analyzing each case so that the affected players receive the experience they deserved, but didn’t get.

“There was a hotfix to fix this and the team is reviewing to calculate the XP lost for each person across the time periods affected by this bug. We have this data. XP will be delivered once we review the data,” Blizzard said.

Unfortunately, the bad news is that the update doesn’t seem to have worked for everyone and some players are still reporting that they are losing experience.

In this way, apparently it will have to be a while before this Diablo: Immortal situation stops being a big headache for Blizzard and its community.
