Techland is expected to provide the first major expansion pack for Dying Light 2 sometime in 2022, and it’s extremely possible that some of the files made their way into the game via a recent patch. This is at least according to a gamer who came across some interesting details about the “opera.”

A new location, unfinished dialogues and even animated boards showing the expansion’s scenarios appeared in the files of the latest update to Dying Light with all these secrets uncovered by a youtuber nicknamed Bub.

Techland could be preparing a big expansion related to the fighting arena, since the files included new NPCs and all of them feature a gladiator theme, and the dialogues and boards found suggest that it is the duels in the arena that are going to be the main theme of the add-on.

On his video, Bub revealed an arena that looks like an opera house, however, some elements are yet to be prepared – Techland is working on a large location with several floors and a prison in the basement.

There were still mentions of new locations in the files (Astrid’s Office, a church and a subway station), but at the moment no particular visuals showing the areas have been found. This expansion may even contain two different endings – such a situation is suggested by the dialogues found.
