GTA 6 Apparently Is Entering the Next Phase of Production

Up to 70 new job offers have been posted by Rockstar Games

GTA VI

Developers of the GTA series and Red Dead Redemption appear to be slowly entering the new production phase of GTA 6. They are massively looking for new employees in almost all of their departments.

The last installment of one of the most popular game series in history was released as recently as September 2013. Rockstar Games has been steadily developing GTA Online since then, but almost nothing has been said about GTA 6. We do know, however, that the game is in production, and that it may be slowly approaching its completion.

This is evidenced by the numerous new job postings that Rockstar studio has published online. As many as 70 of them appeared in 24 hours, according to the Hitmarker service which tracks them. This brings the total to 227 positions for which the GTA developers are looking for the right people.

The new listings are for the company’s branches around the world and a diverse range of positions. They range from testers to programmers to graphic designers and project managers. Also sought are mission and open-world event designers.

While a large part of the posted offers are presumably for people who would further develop GTA Online, there are numerous signs that Rockstar is putting more and more resources into the production of GTA 6.

One of the reasons for this was to stop work on the refreshed versions of Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV, as well as reducing support for Red Dead Online. These measures are aimed at speeding up the release of the new Grand Theft Auto installment as much as possible.

In November, the 25th anniversary of the release of the first GTA will be marked, with the first GTA V trailer released on November 2, 2011. Possibly, it is in this very month that we will see the first announcement of GTA 6.
