Ubisoft: Roller Champions Is Not Going To Be Canceled

Despite recent reports, Ubisoft will not cancel Roller Champions.

Roller Champions

Roller Champions first launched in May following several postponements years after its original announcement, but within the last day or so there have been reports that the game is already at an end, with Ubisoft considering terminating support for the title after the end of the third season.

This may not be the case, however, or at least that is what Ubisoft says. The development team of Roller Champions recently issued a statement on Twitter in response to these rumors. “Roller Champions will not be cancelled and Ubisoft fully supports it,” the developer wrote.

That being said, the ongoing first season of the multiplayer title, Disco Fever, would be extended. However, the development team says that they want to take their time and concentrate on player feedback before they release new content as part of new seasons.

“As far as content is concerned, we can tell you that we have interesting things planned for the upcoming seasons,” the statement adds. “We firmly believe, however, that before we launch new content, we need to do the right thing for our players, which is why we are taking our time before doing so.”

There are of course plenty of questions that this statement still does not fully clarify, and gamers will continue to wonder how long it will be before the next season arrives, what the scope of future seasons will be, or how long Ubisoft intends to continue supporting the game. Roller Champions currently is available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
