Ghost of Tsushima lead role: Andrew Koji is fighting to get involved

And he’s not afraid of nudity at hot springs!

Andrew Koji

The Ghost of Tsushima film has already got a lead writer, but there is still no word on who will be honored to play the lead role.

Two acclaimed actors are rumored to be competing for the job, and one of them – Andrew Koji, who is known for Warrior or Bullet Train, for example – is very keen to become involved.

In an interview with EW editors, the British-Japanese actor confirmed that he is a big fan of Ghost of Tsushima. In fact, he has completed Jin Sakai’s adventure on more than one or even two occasions, and had a great time doing so.

When he heard about the film, he instantly expressed his desire to play the role of the “last samurai on Tsushima.”

I’m going after Ghost of Tsushima – that’s what I’m going to do. I would really like [to be there – editor’s note]. I think I can play a really good Jin Sakai. I can bring my own style to it, and I’ve played the video game twice before.

Koji believes he can play Jin Sakai really well, contributing his distinctive style. Indeed, he is well aware of the brutality and nudity that would be present in a Sony production.

The British actor even addressed an appearance in the hot springs – as he himself admitted, he wouldn’t have any problems “showing his ass” right before taking a bath.
