Diablo 4 to Launch Sooner Than Path of Exile 2

This gives Blizzard a safe path to the launch.

Path of Exile 2

The ExileCon is coming back after a nearly three-year hiatus. On July 29-30, 2023 (in Auckland, New Zealand), Path of Exile fans from all over the world can attend the special convention.

The Grinding Gear Games company is going to bring with it playable versions/builds of Path of Exile 2 and Path of Exile Mobile and will reveal the start date of Path of Exile 2 beta testing there.

Other than announcing the beta start date, they will also announce everything there is to know about the new game systems, character classes, items, and so on.

The participants will be able to play Path of Exile 2 and Path of Exile Mobile , watch all the presentations live, meet up with the development team, hang out with their favorite streamers and much more.

According to an optimistic scenario, the Closed Beta of Path of Exile 2 will be launched after the vacations of 2023, and will run for (at least) a few months. Thus, in theory, the release of Path of Exile 2 is expected to take place in the first half of 2024.

On the other hand, Diablo 4 is expected to launch in the first half of 2023, therefore Path of Exile 2 will get a delay of almost a year against its biggest competitor. Therefore, Blizzard has a safe path to the release.
