Evil West Will Not Debut at the End of September

The new release date will probably make the game face fierce competition from the likes of God of War Ragnarok.

Evil West

Evil West is not set to debut at the end of September. The developers require more time and decided to postpone the release of the new IP, however, Flying Wild Hog’s production is going to debut at a really difficult time – right after the release of God of War Ragnarok and Pokémon Scarlet/Violet.

We were supposed to play Evil West on September 20, but Flying Wild Hog is needing more time to polish the game.

That is quite understandable, as the Polish studio is looking to offer a brand new IP that has to go to market in the best possible quality. But, one can get the impression that the publisher has chosen to throw the adventure to the competition.

Evil West is set to debut on November 22, which is after Skul & Bones (08.11), God of War Ragnarök (09.11), Tactics Ogre: Reborn (11.11), Valkyrie Elysium (11.11), Company of Heroes 3 (17.11), Goat Simulator 3 (17.11), Pokémon Scarlet/Violet (18.11) and before The Callisto Protocol (02.12).

In 2022, it would be hard to pick a worse time to launch a new brand from a smaller developer, because one of the hottest games of 2022 is debuting around for all PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 owners, and simultaneously a whole new generation of Pokémon – as both brands are widely known to enjoy gigantic popularity.

Hopefully, the team in charge of Evil West has a really sensible plan, because it will otherwise be really hard to compete with much bigger brands in the gaming world.
