Immortal Empires Breathes a New Life Into Total War: Warhammer 3

The game experiences a second life thanks to the campaign.

Immortal Empires

The launch of the massive Immortal Empires campaign has given a second life to Total War: Warhammer 3. For a few days now, a number of concurrently playing players on Steam has remained in the tens of thousands.

Fans of Total War: Warhammer 3 had been waiting for Immortal Empires for some time. The massive campaign has attracted thousands of people to the game.

On the release day of its beta, August 23, Total War: Warhammer 3 on Steam had nearly 120,000 players playing simultaneously. That’s the highest figure since the game itself was released in February.

As the developers of Warhammer 3 themselves claim, the Immortal Empires is the largest and most ambitious project in the series’ history to date. Indeed, it merges the campaigns from the three games together while adding a mass of content.

So it is no surprise that fans rushed to test Immortal Empires. Even though, in order to try out the campaign, you have to own both previous games in the series ( although you don’t have to have them installed).

For nearly a week, Warhammer 3’s active player count on Steam has hovered around 60-100 thousand. For quite some time the number has been around 8 thousand, so it is an unquestionable success for the game.

Warhammer 3 thus left far behind “two”, the record of simultaneously active players of which is less than 85 thousand.

At the moment, the whole series is on sale on Steam. It is worth considering a purchase, all the more so because the DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3 – Champions of Chaos – recently came out.
