At Gamescom 2022, CI Games unveiled The Lords of the Fallen. It is not a concrete continuation of the previously released game, but rather a full reboot that will offer a much larger world and a completely new story.

While the decision to present an item based on a previously released title may have seemed controversial, developers and the publisher can’t complain.

In fact, the Lords of the Fallen recorded a much better result on Steam against Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 – 30% more players put the title on their wish lists in seven days compared to the shooter a day before its release (after a 9-month promotional campaign).

This of course does not necessarily translate directly into sales, but is a sure indicator of interest for the publisher and developers. It is certainly worth mentioning that Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 generated around $13 million in revenue in 2021.

Its first trailer recorded more than 6.7 million views, and already more than 300 texts have been written about the game worldwide. Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, recalls the strongest launch ever:

“I am very pleased with the strongest start in CI Games’ history for the advertising campaign including the great reception of the Lords trailer. And the game itself was very well liked by our current and potential partners who saw it at closed screenings.”

CI Games mentioned that The Lords of the Fallen will debut in 2023, but we currently have not learned a more specific release date.
