New the Last of Us Part I Video Released: Developers Focus on Weapon Upgrades

Naughty Dog trying hard to justify the game’s price!

Last of Us Part I

Increasingly, Naughty Dog is revealing shots from the remastered and PS5-adapted adventure of Joel and Ellie. The latest video features the project’s director unveiling a bit more about the workshop being used to refine the weapons.

Time is running out until the release of The Last of Us Part I, which is why no one should be surprised that Sony is promoting the atmospheric story with increasing intensity – with the best way of advertising being to show the results of the team’s work concentrating on the refreshed version.

Following gameplay snippets and animation comparisons, now the studio has shared another aspect of the game that we glimpsed for a moment in earlier gameplay.

We are talking about the workbenches, which have also received a makeover. Remake director Matthew Gallant revealed that we’ll also experience a number of modifications while upgrading our weapons.

It begins with brand-new animations that showcase the hero’s every action, followed by a number of new elements and the addition of haptic vibrations that allow us to feel the actions performed by Joel.

While Naughty Dog’s Gallant stresses that in the original, “the workbench consisted mainly of UI menus,” now we will see every movement of the character – the workshops are “brilliantly integrated with the environment” and they will allow you to refine the gun you have.

The developers have systematically addressed comments from the community, not only to justify the decision on the price of The Last of Us Part I, the changes and improvements made, but also regarding the PC debut. A Naughty Dog developer revealed last month that the PC version will be made available “soon.”
