Gamescom 2022: New Brutal Gameplay Trailer of Callisto Protocol Revealed

New gameplay showing The Callisto Protocol has appeared online. There are mutants, it is brutal and bloody.

Callisto Protocol

Certainly many of our readers are waiting for the release of The Callisto Protocol, scheduled for early December this year. This title promises to be very interesting, and the newest trailer only reinforces this conviction. See for yourself, after all.

During the Gamescom Opening Night Live, the founder of Striking Distance studio, Glen Schofield, took the stage.

Soon after, we were able to see a short footage, showing gameplay from the team’s debut work, The Callisto Protocol. The video was recorded on current-generation hardware, so it is most likely about one of the consoles.

Video begins with The Callisto Protocol’s protagonist, named Jacob, navigating through dark corridors and fighting Biophages.

This he does with the use of firearms, and a special gravity gun, with which he can catch them and hurl them, for instance, toward the murderous turbines.

One rather interesting mechanic can be seen in the video. The idea is that opponents are able to mutate during combat. They are capable of changing to try to approach our hero in a slightly different way.

In turn, the latter again has to demonstrate ingenuity and dexterity. Have a peek, by the way, see below. The release of The Callisto Protocol is scheduled for December 2, and will be played then on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
