Path of Exile Will Get a New Expansion Next Week

Consoles will get it five days later!

Path of Exile

Developer studio Grinding Gear Games has announced yet another regular expansion for Path of Exile, this time entitled Lake of Kalandra.

This one should give players a taste of what’s in store for them right from the start in the expansive endgame after they complete the game’s main storyline.

The Lake of Kalandra is set to arrive on August 19 on PC and will be available in the following quarter. Console versions will receive it five days later, on August 24.

This update will feature a new mode that runs alongside the storyline. It will be telling the story of one of the side characters, the eponymous Kalandra.

In Kalandra Challenge League, you will visit a mirrored lake that has given her the power of duplication. There you will stack magical mirrored tables to create modified dungeons, in which you’ll find pieces of the main story and gain access to modifiers that were previously only available in the endgame.

Also included in the August expansion are 14 new unique items, four gems, balance changes to various gameplay elements, and other new features.

Path of Exile is currently available on PC, macOS, and last-gen consoles. While the game is basically free, players can spend money on additional cosmetic microtransactions.
