Will Alone in the Dark Make a Comeback?

And insider has tweeted a teaser

Alone in the Dark

We could soon be witnessing another big comeback. An insider, who has proven several times already that he has access to behind-the-scenes industry information, tweeted a new teaser.

Some players link his tweet to the Alone in the Dark brand, which was developed by THQ Nordic several years ago.

Things got noisy about The Snitch in June – thus far, an insider has provided a release date for The Last of Us Part I, hinted at Overwatch 2’s transition to a free-2-play business model, passed on news about ports of games in the Persona series, and foreshadowed the announcement of Crisis Core: The Final Fantasy VII Reunion.

After a break of sorts, the informer has become active again. The latest post read an enigmatic phrase: “Being afraid of the dark is what keeps most of us alive.”

Words were instantly linked to the Alone in the Dark series, whose rights were bought by THQ Nordic in 2018, and we have been waiting for the IP’s return ever since.

Curiously, the mention was published a few days before the European publisher’s event – a THQ Nordic Digital Showcase is scheduled for August 12, where we can see the game.

We usually don’t have to wait too long for confirmation of Snitch’s puzzles, and it seems very likely that we’ll get a full presentation of the new Alone in the Dark later this week.

We should add that between 1992 and 2008, there were five productions belonging to Alone in the Dark, with three films related to this IP being made at the same time. The latest one debuted in 2008.
