The Official Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Gameplay Trailer Revealed

The gameplay trailer for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the new soulslike game from the creators of the Ninja Gaiden and NiOh series, has finally arrived.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty

Today, Team Ninja studio and Koei Tecmo have released the first gameplay trailer for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – the soulslike game announced more than two months ago, which is set in a fantasy version of ancient China, more specifically between 184-189, the time of the Yellow Turban Uprising. The video is short, but spectacular.

Not sure if you’ll agree with us, but we think the video even simmers with atmosphere. The change of scenery from Japan – the location of the action of two games in the NiOh series from Team Ninja – to China may turn out to be a hit.

Another good impression is the combat system, which appears to be a combination of proven solutions from NiOh and some outstanding ideas from FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

The developers from Team Ninja have talked about a number of issues in their recent interview with IGN, including the fact that the game is going to feature more than ten types of weapons and will lack – like Sekiro – a stamina bar.

We unfortunately do not know the exact release date of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The only thing confirmed is that the title will be published on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and XSX/S in early 2023. In addition, the game will also be available on the PC/Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
