Nothing Phone 1 Under Merciless Durability Test of the Famous YouTuber

Could not withstand the pressure, yet managed to survive.

Nothing Phone 1

The Nothing Phone 1 was put through one of the most serious tests. We are referring, of course, to the endurance test. Well, let’s find out how this high-end device performed in it!

Nothing Phone 1 got into the hands of popular YouTube creator JerryRigEverything a few weeks after its release, who ruthlessly tests smartphones for their durability. Let’s find out what came out of it!

JerryRigEverything kicked off the test by checking how the smartphone would cope with scratches – all of it is protected by fifth-generation Gorilla Glass, and despite this, the Nothing Phone 1 came through the test very average.

In the sixth level of hardness, scratches started to appear on the screen, while on the seventh they were already much deeper. In fact, this result could have been much better.

Nothing Phone 1 also didn’t get past the lighter test – the smartphone performed quite well in it, after being under the flame of a lighter for 40 seconds, however, the screen took on minor damage.

Next stage of the endurance test involved touching the device’s case. In fact, the YouTuber scraped the phone’s casing with a metal razor blade, resulting in significant scratches on the aluminum frame.

Nothing Phone 1 in the bending test

However, this is something the mobile phone can be completely forgiven for. At the end it was time for the Internet users’ favorite test – i.e. the bending test.

This one was possibly not as dramatic as in the case of the OnePlus flagship – after all, the Nothing Phone 1 failed to withstand the strain, gently bending.

But what’s important, the damage was so minor that it didn’t harm the whole fancy design of the smartphone. For that, Nothing Phone 1 deserves kudos!
