For quite some time, we’ve been aware that Russian studio Mundfish is developing the sci-fi shooter Atomic Heart. The GamingBolt website recently had a chance to have a look at the production. This resulted in a 7-minute video with a review of the basic gameplay.
This title is set in an alternate reality, in which the Soviet Union has developed technologically after World War II and manufactured a mass of robots that founded their own cities. But not everything went according to plan – the robots launched a rebellion against humanity.
We play as an agent who is going to try to stop the robots, with the help of various weapons and supernatural abilities (such as telekinesis or a water glove).
In the video, they praise the graphic design style of the shooter – in their opinion, the graphics and colors are eye-catching. An advantage of the FPS, according to GamingBolt, will be the diversity of enemy types.
There are really a lot of them. Furthermore, in the video they reveal some information about the length of Atomic Heart, saying that it will take us about 20 hours to go through the game.
Atomic Heart release date and platforms
At the moment, the Russian developer has not revealed the exact release date of the first-person shooter. Previously, there had been talk of some date between September and December 2022, although this has not been confirmed for now.
However, what we do know for sure is that the title will be released for PCs and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X/S consoles. The Russian shooter will also appear on the Xbox Game Pass service at launch.
