Capcom Confirms: Resident Evil 4 Will Be Coming to PS4

The company also released gameplay trailer of Resident Evil Village Shadows of Rose.

Resident Evil 4

Capcom has just made a very surprising announcement. During the ongoing conference on the occasion of the Tokyo Game Show, the developer confirmed that Resident Evil 4 would also debut on the PlayStation 4. At the event, we also saw gameplay from Resident Evil Village Shadows of Rose.

Resident Evil 4 has been announced as a completely next-gen horror game, but the Japanese have previously mentioned that they were thinking of preparing the game for the previous generation consoles too.

We can now confirm that the horror game is going to debut on PS4 – Capcom failed to show the Xbox One version, so evidently an edition for Microsoft’s older platform is not in development.

We also saw gameplay from Resident Evil Village Shadows of Rose at the event and the story add-on will debut next month, which means the community can get ready for the story.

Events were set exactly 16 years after Resident Evil Village, and the protagonist (Rose) can freeze enemies.

Capcom has also confirmed very positive news – the Resident Evil Showcase will take place in October, through which we will get more details about Resident Evil 4. We can only hope that the Japanese will also prepare a proper gameplay trailer.
