Rockstar Games’ latest production is among the most anticipated items of recent years and we should have no doubt about that.

The leaked data, which has been widely reported in the past week, allowed us to look at snippets of gameplay or mechanics being developed by the developers. The hacker could also reveal the amount of money the publisher has spent on the beloved title.

Grand Theft Auto is a brand that has been making huge profits for Take-Two for years. As the company’s latest report states, GTA 5 has nearly hit 170 million copies sold, with the entire series exceeding the result of 380 million copies to date – and it’s worth mentioning in addition the not small success of GTA Online, which continuously gathers eager players on the servers.

Substantial popularity of the IP may affect the investment decisions of Strauss Zelnick and company and these are reportedly significant.

The news of a hacker who is most likely behind one of the industry’s largest data releases of a game under development has come to light. During conversations with other hackers, he allegedly stated the amount of money the Americans spent on production development to date.

The budget of GTA 6 is reportedly as high as $2.5 billion. Should the report prove true, Rockstar’s production is the most expensive title ever.

We should keep in mind, however, that the news has not been confirmed in any way, and we should therefore approach it with some caution.

Clearly, the costs of such a magnificent project, on which work has probably been going on since 2014, are truly expensive.

There is talk that the developers might take advantage of GTA online and somehow combine the two installments – the plans are certainly huge, because the studio aims to “set creative standards for the entire entertainment industry.”
