Konami’s Mystery Game Turned Out To Be Two Remakes From PS1

And this has disappointed some fans!

Suikoden

The Konami stream at the Tokyo Game Show ended in a huge disappointment for gamers who were waiting for news about Silent Hill or Metal Gear Solid. “The secret game of the internationally beloved series” proved to be two PlayStation One jRPG remasters.

They may not have disappointed everyone and Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will certainly delight fans of the brand who have been eagerly anticipating its return. These games will hit PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch in 2023.

Nevertheless, many recent leaks suggested that we would see Silent Hill or Metal Gear Solid today. However, that didn’t happen, and following the end of the show, one could hear voices of disappointment on every stream where gamers were live commenting on the show.

However, this doesn’t mean that remasters, remakes and new games of the Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid series are not in development.

In recent days there was some talk that Konami might indeed cancel showing them at the Tokyo Game Show. One reason for the decision was thought to be the relatively low visibility of the event.

Instead, according to leakers, Konami is planning to show more at a “more global event this year.” In fact, the event that appears to be the most probable is The Game Awards scheduled for December 8. After today’s disappointment, however, we’d probably better not get our hopes up too high.
