It’s Official: There Will Be No Quidditch Games in Hogwarts Legacy

Unfortunately, Hogwarts Legacy is not going to allow us to participate in a tournament of perhaps the most popular invented sport.

Hogwarts legacy

Hogwarts Legacy looks to be the game Harry Potter fans have been awaiting all their lives. Up to now, we have not yet received a full-fledged RPG in the world created by J.K. Rowling.

Should the developers at Avalanche Software manage to do so, perhaps the dreams of many of us will be realized. Come to think of it, at least in some part.

It looks, unfortunately, that there will be no expectation of any experience well-known from books or movies. Although a Quidditch player is displayed in one of the game’s trailers, this sport will not be available in the game.

It will likely only appear in the form of some kind of movie interlude. That is quite a blow, in particular for fans of the standalone game Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup, which was at one time a really great item.

Quidditch is actually not playable in Hogwarts Legacy. But flying on a broomstick for movement and broomstick racing challenges are included in the game. Gamers will also fly their brooms to explore new and familiar locations that surround Hogwarts Castle.

This is definitely not what many were hoping for. If anything, on the other hand – we pretty much already knew about it.

The creators had already some time ago omitted information about the possible presence of role-playing in the game, which suggested that those simply wouldn’t be there. Well, it will always be left to hope for some DLC or, I don’t know, Quidditch World Cup 2?
