The Frogwares is in the final straight before the end of the crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. To mark the occasion, the developers have shared new information about the project and are now promoting an unconventional initiative with one of the Ukrainian troops organizing a surprising contest.

Ukraine’s war is also leaving its mark on developers working in the game industry. Toward the end of July, we found out about the plans of the Frogwares team, which is focusing on releasing a completely revamped adventure of the brilliant detective.

A remake of the 2006 entry, Sherlock Holmes The Awakened is promising to be a completely improved title

With a few dozen hours left until the end of the campaign on Kickstarter, now the studio is sharing the next details about the game, expressing its gratitude for the huge amount of support and funds that will allow further work.

It is true that the fundraising has already reached its goal, however, we can read in the official message that the additional money will be donated to ensure safety and secure the future of the employees.

“The support and kind words for the team within this campaign have been tremendous. All of our donors have given us something really positive to focus on and security that allows us to create the game at our own pace. We will be forever grateful to those people who stood by us when it seemed like our whole life was falling apart,” thanked Sergey Oganesyan of Frogwares.

Sherlock Holmes The Awakened remake is expected to debut in February 2023. Considering the support and current capabilities of the developers, early in the year should be the best time for the release of the production, however it was emphasized that the situation appears to be extremely dynamic and is subject to change.
