Yakuza 8 Is Coming: Ryu GA Gotoku to Launch a Live Broadcast Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2022

We will find out about many stuff in the live broadcast on 8 September.

Yakuza 8 Is Coming

By now we know that Sega will be present at Tokyo Game Show 2022 and the publisher will unveil its news on the schedule, which was released yesterday. But it seems that we will learn news about the Yakuza brand ahead of the big Japanese event.

As it turns out, the Ryu Ga Gotoku team will be presenting the results of their work on Yakuza 8, the sequel to the excellent Yakuza: Like a Dragon, in the following days.

The Japanese studio will launch a livestreamed video on September 8, titled “Yakuza 8. “Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio TV #12.5: Sneak Peek Trailer Brought to You by the Director.”

The livestream will appear on YouTube at 1pm that day. We will listen to statements from lead producer and director Masayoshi Yokoyama and Masayu Santou in the livestream.

You may recall that we saw the first shots of Yakuza 8 back in July 2022. The studio confirmed then that the sequel to Like a Dragon will include many familiar faces, which were introduced in the Japanese developers’ last work.

It is also known that the new production will maintain the turn-based, roleplay combat system. The developers of the Yakuza series have also already stated that they are working on an entirely new, still untitled IP.

It is possible that the first information about it will be revealed in the livestream scheduled to be launched on September 8.

Take a look, by the way, at the schedule of livestreams from Tokyo Game Show 2022, where Sega will obviously be present – with a full hourly schedule.
