Dune: The Sisterhood Series Is Coming to HBO Max

“Dune: The Sisterhood” is now taking its first shapes. We found out the cast of the production, plot details and producers involved in the project.

We will see on screen, among others, Emily Watson, the star of the miniseries “Chernobyl” and Shirley Henderson, famous for the “Harry Potter” series (Moaning Martha), according to the Deadline website. The actresses are going to play the roles of Valya Harkonnen and Shirley Henderson.

Based on the science fiction novel by Frank Herbert, the story of the series is set 10000 years before the events of the film “Dune”, related to Paul Atreides.

The story will follow the sisters of the Harkonnen family who will confront forces that are threatening the future of humanity. Their endeavors will lead them to the pinnacle of power in the Bene Gesserit secret order.

The main creator and producer of “Dune: The Sisterhood” is Diane Ademu-John, with credits on the series “Empire” and “The Haunted Mansion at Bly.”

Denis Villeneuve, who is also behind the successful 2021 film “Dune,” is the co-writer and among the executive producers. The first episode, meanwhile, will be directed by Johan Renck, author of “Chernobyl.”
