Is a Plague Tale: Requiem Set To Be the Final Installment in the Series? A Lot Depends on the Players

As announced earlier, A Plague Tale: Requiem is debuting on the market today. A video has already hit the web comparing the sequel with the original, and the first reviews, which show that we are in for a very successful sequel.

In the meantime, Kevin Choteau – the game’s director – chose to disclose whether fans of the A Plague Tale series can expect further adventures in the aforementioned world in the future.

Taking an interview published on the official PlayStation blog, the director of A Plague Tale: Requiem has admitted that at this point the developers are not thinking about the next part of the series.

Nevertheless, Choteau emphasizes that “the door is never closed,” and the studio is keen to see how the said title will be welcomed by players.

We want to see their reaction before making any decision. It’s the players who drive our production, and if they don’t like what we’ve done, we’ll have to do something else,” the developer clarifies.

Worth mentioning is that the decision to develop A Plague Tale: Requiem was also not made until some time after the release of the first part, A Plague Tale: Innocence.

The sequel, as we mentioned above, is getting high ratings in reviews, and there is much indication that the production will be liked by the players themselves as well, increasing the chances of the next part of the series.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is now available on PC and PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch (Cloud) consoles. We should also note that you can experience Asobo Studio’s production as part of the PC and Xbox Game Pass service as well.
