Starting October 25, Crossout will receive an update dubbed “Supercharged,” providing us with significant improvements in the game’s graphics rendering.
Crossout developers are assuring on the official site that this free-to-play game will get global illumination support, a completely redesigned 3D environment lighting system, on October 25.
Developers have said that this is possible because of major modifications to the Dagor engine code provided by Gaijin Entertainment. This modification “will significantly improve the image quality especially in less lit and shaded areas,” – the studio claimed.
This isn’t the end of the changes that will make their way into Crossout. In fact, the developers boast the integration of SSLR (Screen Space Local Reflections) and SSCS (Screen Space Contact Shadows), both of which are said to “provide a ray tracing-like effect.”
Moreover, there will be a improved blurring effect of fast-moving objects in the game. Meanwhile, the developers presented these new features, all of which will be enjoyed by PS5, PC and XSX/XSS owners in the video below.
