Vampire Survivors Full Version Release Date Announced

One of the biggest independent hits of this year will be finally coming out of early access and switching to a new engine.

Vampire Survivors

In late January this year, there were reports about a certain independent hit on the Steam platform, which surprisingly managed to steal the hearts of gamers from all over the world. The Vampire Survivors, an old-school action game from the one-man studio Poncle, is without a doubt an interesting and very popular production; this title has been breaking records at a surprising rate.

With a long history of numerous updates and patches, the developer has now finally made an announcement that Vampire Survivors will soon be leaving early access and will make its debut as a full version with the number 1.0, and will also switch to a new graphics engine. So when will this happen?

Vampire Survivors – when is the release of the full version?

The official announcement from the studio on the Steam platform reads that the release of Vampire Survivors is scheduled for October 20 this year on personal computers. At the same date, the game will get several changes.

First of all, the stats of some items will be appropriately balanced to increase their usefulness. However, the only item that will be made weaker is the Holy Water, which the developer himself claims is much more powerful than other weapons.

And second, achievements will get modifications; completely new trophies will appear in the game, and some of those already in place will receive new conditions for their acquisition (of course, provided we already have them, we won’t have to acquire them again). And third, finally, the production will be supported in as many as 12 different languages.

Vampire Survivors – new-age graphics engine

Another thing is the new graphics engine, which Vampire Survivors is likely to switch to before the end of this year. What is worth noting at this point is that the graphics will not change, but such things will be improved like compatibility, optimization and stability of the title.

The developer has chosen to develop two versions of the game simultaneously: one with the new engine and one with the existing engine called Electron. The gamers will be offered the chance to choose which version they want to play on.

In terms of the most important features of the new technology, the game will utilize more than one processor core, which will increase the number of frames per second. Besides, the production will be Linux-compatible and will properly interact with devices that do not support the webGL extension.

In the end, it was confirmed that some bugs will be fixed with the engine, like the conflict of cloud saves due to unusable files and the problem with implementing changes in assigned keys. The process of porting the game to the new version of the engine is still in progress.
