PlayStation Store’s Most Downloaded Games in September 2022

PlayStation’s official blog has posted a list of the most downloaded games from the PlayStation Store in September 2022. As it turns out, sports games like FIFA 23 and NBA 2K23 were the top games in popularity among PlayStation 5 players.

The mentioned titles took first and second place in Europe, respectively, and virtual basketball proved more popular in the US and Canada. The third place on both continents, meanwhile, belonged to The Last of Us Part 1.

For the PlayStation 4, the first two places – both in Europe and North America – are exactly the same as for the PlayStation 5.

Changes are visible, however, on the last stage of the podium. On Europe, third place was held by Grand Theft Auto V, and in the US and Canada by Madden NFL 23.

In September 2022, the most downloaded PlayStation VR game on both continents once again turned out to be Beat Saber. In contrast, the most popular free-to-play game in Europe turned out to be Rumbleverse, while Fortnite was the king in the US and Canada.
