Silent Hill 2 Remake Has Been in Development Since 2019

The CEO of Bloober Team has disclosed some important details about the development of the Silent Hill 2 remake, which was recently announced during a Konami broadcast. At that time, some interesting information emerged, such as the fact that development of the game has started in 2019.

CEO Peter Babeno has revealed several facts about the development of the remake. Among the most important is the fact that the game is being developed for three years and has only recently reached a late stage of development. At the moment, the team is busy polishing various production elements.

The Bloober Team CEO also disclosed that the budget of the Silent Hill 2 remake was completely covered by Konami.

This is likely as part of the partnership the two companies had entered into. On top of that, he revealed that the Krakow-based team is in the process of receiving funding for the game’s stages.

Should they be successful, they will also earn additional money from the game through the contract. Indeed, the team is expecting the Silent Hill 2 remake to sell “at least several million units.”

The release date for Silent Hill 2 has not yet been announced. The project, built on Unreal Engine 5, is coming to both PC and PlayStation 5, and it will be exclusive on Sony’s console for at least 12 months.
