A Game store chain employee in the UK has leaked the release date of the new edition of The Witcher 3. They are apparently talking about December 9 of the current year.
At the moment, gamers are awaiting only one version of the famous RPG from CD Projekt – a reveal that works natively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Some time ago, the Polish company assured that they intend to release the relevant update sometime this year, so the timing appears to fit.
The fact that the display shows “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY” is still a bit of a mystery, and after all, such a release has been available for many years. It is possible, however, that the new release will be sold under just such a designation.
Everything else about the release dates and announcements appears to match, but currently the reports are still worth taking with a pinch of salt. The account of the user who revealed the information disappeared on Reddit as quickly as it appeared.
The conversion is likely to have been released a little sooner, if not for the fact that it has a somewhat troubled history. The Russian Saber Interactive was initially responsible for the project.
In April, however, CD Projekt assumed responsibility and decided to finish it on its own. The reasons were never officially revealed, but we can guess that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was to blame.
