Jason David Frank Passes Away, the Power Rangers Actor Dies Aged 49

US media reported the death of Jason David Frank, who fans may know from the role of Tommy Oliver, which was the first Green and then White Power Ranger. Actor was 49 years old at the time of his death.

The causes of death are not known at this time, but Frank was said to have committed suicide, based on unofficial information.

He began his career in 1993 with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series. Originally, he tried for the role of Jason, or Red Warrior, but got the engagement as Green Warrior.

But his adventure was to last only 14 episodes, but audiences were delighted with his new character and his contract was eventually extended.

From the age of 4, Frank trained in karate, then twelve years later founded his own amateur fighting school. He was familiar with many martial arts, among them: Shōtōkan, Wadō-ryū, taekwondo, judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Thai boxing, Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do and Aikido.

And he was the creator of his own style of American karate called Toso Kune Do. He made his professional MMA debut in August 2010 (after previously winning four fights at amateur galas) at the Texas Cage Fighting – Puro Combate 1, winning in just 44 seconds over Jose Roberto Vasquez.

And Jason David Frank tried his hand at roles other than Power Rangers, but with little success. After a 13 year hiatus, his character returned in an episodic role in the 2017 feature film Power Rangers.

However, He also appeared in 2018’s Power Rangers Legacy Wars: Street Fighter Showdown. His last film project would be Legend of the White Dragon, scheduled for release next year.

The actress said goodbye on Instagram to Walter E. Jones, whom he co-starred with in the series Power Ranges.

I can’t believe it…. RIP Jason David Frank. My heart is sad to lose another member of our special family.
