Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Is Officially a Paid Add-on

While CD Projekt RED has confirmed the news that will be obvious to many, there have been rumblings in recent days about free content heading to Cyberpunk 2077. The creators responded and announced that Phantom Liberty will be a paid expansion.

The CD Projekt RED have big plans for the world of Cyberpunk 2077. The game received an update in recent days that improved gameplay on the latest consoles, and next year will see the debut of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. It is the first and last story-driven expansion for the 2020 game.

Studio had already announced that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be a paid add-on, but rumors have emerged in recent days, saying that the adventure will be offered for free.

The Gamesradar+ editors have decided to check the situation and Radek Grabowski (global PR director of CD Projekt RED) has confirmed that the expansion will be paid:

“As for the price of the expansion – we haven’t revealed the exact details yet, but it will be paid.”

While CD Projekt RED has yet to confirm the price, Grabowski informed that “our expansions are traditionally cheaper than full games,” so we might suspect that the adventure will be released at a lower price relative to the original game’s $59.99.

CD Projekt RED is set to open a new studio in Boston in 2023 to develop an all-new Cyberpunk installment.
