Fans Are Furious Over Missing Games at the Game Awards

The video games and custom games nominated for The Game Awards, ceremony that has been held for some years now in the industry, were revealed yesterday.

And while some categories have their biggest contenders, there are a few that were missing titles, which fans noticed and for that reason were upset.

First off, there is the matter of Bayonetta 3, Platinum Games’ ambitious video game that shook the world with its release days ago, and while it is nominated in the action category, some thought it should have entered more categories.

Even they mentioned that Stray Should be removed from its Game of the Year spot for the Witcher one.

The following title that users mention is Halo Infinite, shooter that did not have a single nomination last year for having been released late, according to the statutes and organization of the event.

According to the statutes and organization of the event, Halo Infinite was left in limbo, as it did not qualify last year and therefore did not qualify for this year 2022 either, due to the fact that it was not released in the respective year.

In spite of having issues with post-release content, Halo Infinite not having a single Game Awards nomination is crazy to me.

Is part of it the negative perception around the game due to post-release issues? Has it been too long ago for people to remember it? Awards will take place next December 8.

To be honest, I do think it’s unfair that both games didn’t get the recognition of being nominated, and Stray doesn’t really look too good to be in some positions. Nevertheless, we will see how it all pans out in December.
