Cyberninja Is Returning: The First Footage From Ghostrunner 2 Is Out

The developers of Ghostrunner 2 have revealed the first materials and details of the game. So far, they didn’t reveal a trailer or gameplay footage, but talked a little about the idea behind the game.

The footage was revealed at yesterday’s special broadcast to celebrate the second anniversary of the release of Gostrunner.

It was revealed by the developers that the sequel is going to focus more on the story line and narrative, but it won’t come without the brutal and dynamic gameplay that gamers loved in the first part. It will continue to be a fast and difficult game in which death is a constant element of gameplay.

At first glance, the locations may look familiar – one will still traverse the neon-lit streets and rooftops of a dark metropolis of the future – however, the levels will be much larger and are supposed to hide plenty of secrets.

Its cyberpunk aesthetic remains in place, even though the artists appear to have made some effort to make the environments all the more diverse.

Ghostrunner 2 is expected to be an evolution, not a revolution. For one thing, if you’ve played the previous installment, then you will feel at home here, but for another, the gameplay is going to be more complex and offer more methods of dealing with enemies and obstacles.

For details we will still have to wait, but the creators promise that next spring they will begin to talk more openly about news and changes.

Ghostrunner 2 is expected to be released at the end of 2023. This game will hit PC and PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. There has been no talk of a PS4 and Xbox One version as of yet and the title will most likely skip the older generation platforms altogether.
