An All-New Castlevania Is the Dream of God of War Ragnarok Director

Following the great success of God of War Ragnarok, there are many who wonder where the saga’s future will go, even though the director expressed a desire to work on a new Castlevania.

Indeed, the Ragnarok demonstrated the qualities of the Santa Monica team, with its final chapter in the dilogy inaugurated with the previous episode.

And while the developers already anticipated having several projects in mind, there is now talk of a completely new and different idea.

In fact, as PSU reported, one of the director’s comments regarding the fact that he would like to dust off the Konami saga dedicated to vampire hunters did not go unnoticed.

Eric Williams, the director of God of War Ragnarok, said he would be interested in working on a Castlevania game if Konami would allow a Western studio to take over the franchise.

Talking at the Kinda Funny Games Spoilercast, Williams asked fans to help him make that happen, before adding, “I just got in trouble!””

These are his words, “You guys can make it happen, because you have audiences from all over the world here… I don’t know what I’m going to do next, but if someone will license Castlevania to me, I’d love to make it happen.”

Regarding Castlevania, Konami has long been rumored to be working on a revival of the franchise in addition to that of Metal Gear Solid, all after news that the publisher does in fact have several Silent Hill chapters in development, including the Silent Hill 2 remake curated by Bloober Team.

Sticking with the vampire and related theme, Castlevania Nocturne is the title of the new Netflix animated series dedicated to the Konami brand, and is officially in production, to the extent that the first official teaser trailer was released a few weeks ago.
