Finally, the launch of Atomic Heart is not merely an unknown point in the future. This title’s release is imminent, and developers from the Mundfish studio are now revealing additional details.

The IGN YouTube channel today published the following 6-minute footage introducing the game’s world, characters and an alternative Soviet Union history.

The USSR has made remarkable advances in robotics in Atomic Heart. This started in the second half of the 1930s, with the development of compact media technology. These allowed the creation of many advanced machines.

The 3826 center is among the scientific centers of the Soviet Union, where they conducted research related to medicine and botany, to name a few. What is important for the plot, the potential of merging robots with humans was also investigated there.

In fact, this experiment resulted in the revolt of the machines. This is when the story introduced in the title will begin. We will go to the facility to investigate what exactly occurred there, acting as an agent known as P-3.

Beyond the story and universe itself, the video also presents us with new gameplay snippets. In it we see, among other things, a diverse range of locations that have been developed to suit the needs of the research team.

The Atomic Heart is set to launch on February 21, 2023 on PC and PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Furthermore, from the day of release, the title will be available on Xbox Game Pass subscription.
