Organizers of The Game Awards gala have announced a partnership with messenger Discord. Besides creating an official server for the event, there will be awards in a new category this year.

The new award will be given for “best community support,” accordance with the published information. The awards will be given to managers and other public contact staff who best moderated communication among developers and fans in a given year.

Besides, the official Discord server of the event has been launched, where you will be able to vote in the poll and watch the gala broadcast via the Shared View feature.

It has also been announced that a special “ask me anything” (Ask Me Anything) sessions with special guests, the identities of whom have not been revealed at this point, will take place during a break from the awards.

Let’s recall that The Game Awards gala will take place on December 8. Nominees for each category are to be announced today around 6 p.m. The opportunity to cast votes in the poll will also begin today.
