Avatar 2 Heroes and Actors. Who Is Coming Back in Cameron’s Film?

We are less than two weeks away from the return to Pandora in the film Avatar: The Way of Water. There will be entirely new characters with new actors in the cast, but there’s no shortage of familiar faces.

In the cast of James Cameron’s upcoming production, the characters from the first part of Avatar also have their place. Contrary to appearances, there is quite a lot of them, and incarnations of some of them will surely surprise fans of adventures on Pandora.

Here you’ll find the actors who are returning to once again take a journey on the exotic and wild planet with viewers.

Avatar: The Way of Water returning characters

First of course, we should mention the pair of main characters namely Sam Worthington playing Jake Sully and his film partner Zoe Saldana playing Neytiri.

The pair are still together and have lived to see their offspring, which will also feature in Being of Water. Here’s where some surprise enters the picture, because Jake and Neytiri’s daughter named Kiri is going to be played by Sigourney Weaver.

We met the actress in the first film as Dr. Grace Augustine, but now it’s time to play someone much younger.

We will also see Carol Christine Hilaria Pounder, the film’s Mo’at, as the leader of the Omaticaya tribe, in Avatar: The Way of Water again.

The final positive character from the first part of Avatar is Norm Spellman (Joel David Moore). While Norm was a friend of Jake’s, it’ not clear if his consciousness was transferred to the avatar in the second film.

That happened in the case of the two villains of the first, who credit their return in Being of Water. We’re talking about Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) and Corporal Lyle Wainfleets (Matt Gerald).

Both of them lost their lives, with their consciousnesses transferred into the bodies of avatars, thereby creating a special squad of Recombinants.

We’ll also see again the person responsible for colonizing Pandora, Parker Selfridge (Giovanni Ribisi). With such three, you can expect that the situation in the second film is going to be very inflamed.

We remind you that Avatar: The Way of Water will arrive in theaters on December 16. Audiences can already book tickets in 2D, and also in 3D.

Meanwhile, people who want to refresh their memories of the first film or familiarize themselves with it, may do so on Disney+.
