Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was the last official installment in the series – and the game was released in 2015. Sadly, following its release, Kojima split with Konami.

However, this didn’t deprive fans of hope for a potential remake of the three, which the Virtuos studio was to work on. But now Hideo Kojima himself has confirmed the sad news.

As reported by Game Rant, during the latest episode of the Brain Structure podcast, the representative of the Kojima Productions team that there is no chance for a continuation of the brand.

Which does not change the fact that he greatly appreciates all requests from players who are dreaming of another installment.

Also, a developer addressed rumors about Death Stranding’s alleged exclusivity for Google Stadia and involvement in the production of the horror film Abandoned.
