Dead Space Remake With Redesigned Isaac Clarke Suit

As Electronic Arts and Motive Studios are on the final straight before the highly anticipated release of the full refresh of the atmospheric horror game originally created by Visceral Games, they’re sharing more details from the project. This time, however, they have focused on the main character’s outfit.

The Dead Space brand is one that has firmly established itself in the canon of iconic games, and it must be said that it hasn’t lost that status over the years – which is why it’s extremely gratifying to know that many players will return to the Ishimura ship as early as next month.

The EA teams have the most important part of the work behind them now that the remake has reached gold status, but that doesn’t discourage them from continuing to promote the returning story. After the material focusing on the Plasma Cutter, it’s time for Isaac Clarke’s striking suit.

Dead Space’s original main character’s suit was designed by Chi-Wai Lao – concept artist from Visceral Games – who took considerable inspiration from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Particular elements of the outfit were also created in collaboration with other developers, and its design had considerable influence on the look of other parts of the environment in the production.

The developers at EA Motive admitted that they wanted to strike a balance between the original costume design and the added innovations when working on the remake.

At first Isaac was supposed to receive an outfit strongly referring to the climate of science fiction, however the artists abandoned this idea extremely quickly – because the protagonist looked more like a robot.

Main goal of specialists working on Dead Space Remake was to maintain the heritage of the original, therefore they decided to add more details and functionality to the project.

The Dead Space Remake will make its debut on January 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. What do you think about this game? Let us know in the comments section below.
