Hideo Kojima Is Looking To Take Advantage of the Latest Technology in Death Stranding 2

Hideo Kojima is increasingly getting bolder about his next title. Death Stranding 2, in the Japanese’s opinion, won’t be a simple sequel, as developers want to use the latest technology to offer players a unique experience.

The Death Stranding 2 has been announced at The Game Awards, while Hideo Kojima has also confirmed the preparation of a “Death Stranding” movie.

Players and viewers can rest assured that they will explore the universe considerably as the Japanese director is eager to talk about the game.

Hideo Kojima was the guest of the Brain Structure Podcast and during the conversation with the reporter said about the new technology – Death Stranding 2 is to offer things that were not possible during the realization of the first installment of the young series:

“This is my second time working with Norman [Reedus] and the technology has really improved in the last three years. Things that were impossible before are now possible. So we’ve really challenged ourselves. In that sense, it’s not just a sequel.”

Japanese in rather enigmatic words commented on the very vision for the production, which according to the developer is expected to appeal to new and returning players.

The creator probably realizes that he needs to surprise those interested once again, as the first Death Stranding faced different opinions – in the end, there’s no shortage of comments that, gameplay-wise, Japanese failed.

“I can’t say much yet. I believe a lot of people liked Sam, and I hope those people will come back to Death Stranding 2. And to please people who didn’t play the first [part], I made the game nostalgic, but also new. I can’t say more at the moment.”

Hideo Kojima is facing a big challenge, but the creator has already confirmed more than once that he can surprise gamers, and it probably won’t be any different with Death Stranding 2.

However, currently we don’t know when the title will debut on PlayStation 5. What do you think about this game? Let us know in the comments section below.
