Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 is scheduled for release on June 6, 2023. This date was unveiled at The Game Awards event, where a new trailer was also shown.

The pre-order for the highly-anticipated title has also begun. This next installment in the famous series is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

The cinematic trailer doesn’t include any gameplay footage, and instead concentrates on the impressive battle scenes against the hellish forces. In the fight against the oncoming Lilith, the gamer himself apparently has to help.

As for preorders, there are three editions available: Standard, Digital Deluxe and Ultimate. Among other things, the latter two guarantee the ability to enter the servers just four days before the official release.

On top of that, there’s a special mount and armor for it, and a “premium” season pass. And there’s even a companion to use while still in Diablo 3 (also in the standard version).

Meanwhile, the exclusive Ultimate edition includes faster advancement to the next levels of the said pass, as well as a unique emoticon with wings.

The release listing confirms that there are also some plans for “open” beta tests for pre-orders, but no word on when the initiative might launch.

It is worth noting at the same time that the Washington Post published an extensive article yesterday from behind the scenes of work on Diablo 4.

Anonymous interviewees have talked about years of management problems and crunch. It is reportedly going to be very difficult to realize plans for a release as early as June 6.
