Disney Dreamlight Valley Now Allows You To Finally Change the Time of Day

Those who only play Dreamlight Valley at certain times of the day hardly see any sunlight. Thanks to the new update, players can now adjust the time of day.

Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are plenty of Disney Dreamlight Valley fans who have experienced this: Arriving home from school, work, or activities in the evening, you turn on the game and you’re welcomed by gloomy night.

In Dreamlight Valley, up until now, the time of day was based on your console’s internal clock. For those who were playing late, this was extremely frustrating, as it made it difficult for them to see their Valley in daylight.

However, this has finally changed with the big winter update. From now on, you are able to choose whether you would like to play the game during day or night.

How to set the offset time of day in the Disney Dreamlight Valley?

You can easily change the time of day in the game menu. All you have to do is follow these steps:

You can change the time of day of the game here 12 hours forward or backward. If you are playing when the sun is setting in the game, for example, and then set the time of day back six hours, you will get six more hours of daylight as well.

There is no time travel: This change is purely visual, however. In other words, you will not actually fast-forward or rewind time here.

This means you can’t speed up the growth of vegetables or skip entire days. Time progress still depends on the internal clock of your console.

What is also included in the Toy Story update?

This December update also introduces some big new features to the game. For example, there are heaps of new recipes, we are getting the new Toy Story kingdom and Woody and Buzz Lightyear as residents.

An additional Disney character has also joined Dreamlight Valley, although the alien Stitch is still hiding out behind a quest that takes several days to complete. Furthermore, we can now enter codes in the game – however, the first free item has left fans puzzled so far.
