High on Life With Different Reviews, Ratings Vary From Extremely Low to the Very Highest

The first reviews of High on Life, the game designed by Justin Roiland – the creator of the hit series “Rick and Morty” has been published on many websites.

It turns out that the unusual production has divided critics – it gets both extremely low ratings and the highest ones.

Reviews so far have been collected, inter alia, by the aggregator service OpenCritic. The title currently has an average rating of 73 points out of 10, with just 47 percent of critics unequivocally recommending the game.

Among the lowest ratings – 3 out of 10 – were given by the But Why Tho website, which called the game “the most annoying, embarrassing and boring experience in years.”

Editors of Eurogamer were not in favor of the work either, strongly advising against the game. “A pathetic cocktail of ideas from other action platformers and the worst features of ‘Rick and Morty ‘” – the review read.

However, quite a few critics gave High on Life more positive reviews. “A fun shooter with a memorable and hilarious story, but also some serious flaws,” believes the editors of Game Rant and rate the title at 4 stars out of 5.

“It requires some getting used to and suffers from a low variety of enemies, but it’s a good comedy with a great introduction and finale.” – concludes the editor of the TechRaptor website, rating the game 8 out of 10.

Writers from the MonsterVine and XboxEra portals were even more enthusiastic about the game. However, the first awarded the production a rating of 4.5 out of 5, referring to it as “undoubtedly one of the funniest games in a long time.”

The latter opinion, meanwhile, gave Roiland’s work a whopping 9 points out of a possible 10, stating in the summary outright that “High on Life is simply fantastic and everyone should play it.”

Let’s recall that High on Life is available today on PC and Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. We can purchase the title outright through Steam, Epic Games Store or Microsoft Store, or we can play it as part of a Game Pass subscription.
